5th Annual Barbados Music Awards The 5th Annual Barbados Music Awards will be held at the Garfield Sobers Gymnasium on Sunday, January 10th starting at 7 p.m. Produced by Timeless Barbados Inc., this event honours the best of Barbados' music, local, regional and international. In the Song of the Year category, soca artistes Edwin Yearwood and Red Plastic Bag will go head to head with their songs 'In the middle of the Road', and 'Something's happening', respectively, against rising international star Shontelle, with her song 'Battle Cry'. |

Holetown Festival The Holetown Festival celebrates the settlement of Barbados at Holetown in 1627. This year's festival will run from Sunday, February 14 to Sunday, February 21. Highlights of the activities include a street fair, a tattoo by the Royal Barbados Police Band, lectures on Barbados to be held at the Holetown Methodist Church, four nights of exciting entertainmment, and the Miss Holetown Beauty Pageant.
